English Speech Contest "Social Media and Impact on Youth"

Ehm..cek cek..hehe beberapa minggu yang lalu gue berniat mengikuti  Erlangga-English-Speech-Contest-2013,

bukti biar lu percaya.

Jadi gue sudah latihan selama 1 bulan ! 1 bulan! yah sudah melewati seleksi sekolah dengan bersusah payah,gue berhasil dengan 2 temen gue untuk mewakili sekolah yang nggak gue cintai ini...gue nggak sabar menanti hari yang akan merubah pandang pacar gue itu...gue udah berkhayal tingkat dewa,jadi begini lah kira kira khayalan gue waktu itu:gue tanding,gue turun dari pentas,cewek gue lari dan melukkin gue sambil bilang "kamu keren banget tadi"...aduh indahnya ...tapi semua itu hancur ketika gue bangun pagi nya perut gue sakit lagi,kampret maag gue kambuh di pagi yang sakral ini.gue berusaha bangkit tapi gue gagal dan gue terus berusaha sampai titik darah pengahabisan,tapi percuma gue hanya bisa terbaring dan lemah tak berdaya..

Oke itu sedikit cerita dari gue,dan sekarang apa cerita lo?heheh iklan habis..gini karena gue kemaren nggak jadi ikut tanding dengan iklas gue mau berbagi konsep pidato yang udah gue buat dengan ehm.. my love #jadi nggak enak...dan ini boleh lo pakai untuk referensi bukan buat lo copas doang terus kasih ke guru lo,jangan jadikan kebudayan buruk ini jadi bagian dari hidup lo,rugi lo nggak akan jadi Pemuda INDONESIA yang kreatif...

            The honorable judges, my teacher and my beloved friends. We must give thank to our God, because of God blessing we can stand here until today. First of all, I would like to introduce my self, my name is Muhammad Danny Lazio and you can call me Lazio. I’m the first class at Vocational High School Bina Profesi Pekanbaru.

Okay, I want to speech about  ”Social Media and Impact on Youth”

Do you know about social media? Have you ever use it? What do you usually doing with social media? What do you get from social media? Okay, in this opportunity I want to talk over social media.

Definition of social media.

Social Media is an online media, the users can easily participate, share, and create content includes blogs, social networks, wikis, forums and virtual world. Blogs, social networks and wikis is a form of social media most commonly used by people around the world.

Andreas Kaplan and Michael Haenlein define social media as "a group of Internet-based applications that build on the ideological and technological foundation of Web 2.0, and that allow the creation and exchange of user-generated content"

Impact of social media on youth?

Social media have a lot of positive effects and negative effects, they usually use social media to communicate and search for informations

Negative effects of social media.

Social media can make us to be addiction, it’s called Social Networking Addiction

What is Social Networking Addiction?

social networking addiction is a phrase that sometimes used to refer to someone that spending too much time using Facebook, Twitter and other forms of social media. So that’s interfere with other aspects of daily life.

Addiction usually refers to compulsive behavior that leads to negative effects. In most addictions, people feel compelled to do certain activities so often, and then become a harmful habit and interferes with other important activities such as work or school.

Some people consider, excessive use of social networks simply the latest form of "Internet Addiction Disorder" a phenomenon people first began writing about in the 1990 when Internet use was starting to spread. Even back then, people theorized that heavy use of the Internet might impair people's performance at work, in school and in family relationships.

Solution to avoid from negative effects of social media.

We should able to share time when using social media with our daily activites, so we don’t become addiction.

Possitive effect of social media.

Social media can make our knowledge increase, because so many social media accounts that provide informations.

For example, so many Blogs and Twitter accounts that provide informations for us.

Inference: every technology has a negative effects and positive effects, as well as social media provide convenience in daily life. But if excessive use also resulted on our daily life. So we should be able to distinguish which is the real world and the virtual world, so that the process of socialization in the real world are not affected by the presenc of the virtual world

Closing:

Well, I think that’s all I can tell. At the end, to show our devotion as the youth, the lines to the future, we must be balanced it with faithard and taqwa, because these are our capital to realize our wishes so that we can live inperfect harmony just as Allah SWT has confirmed to us.
